Soon after the releasing the Merit List, Gujarat medical counselling process will be started as soon as the Gujarat High Court announces its verdict on the EBC and management quotas. As per a report, it is seen that this year there is a very high cut off marks due to the highest percentage secured by the students in 12th standard. If we compare with 2015 cut off mark, it can be seen that last year the cutoff mark was 85.68% with merit number 1,720 going to Bhuj Medical College. But this year the merit list is likely to be 86.95%, which is 1.3% higher than 2015.
The merit list is prepared by taking 60% from class 12 result and 40% from pre-medical entrance exam results. So, this year as the students has scored a high percentage in the 12th standard, the merit list percentage increases.
This year we will see a cut throat competition among the students. Because of the high cut off marks, it will be difficult to get into BJ Medical College this year. Only the toppers will get the chance to get admission to the college.
