Bengaluru Minority Medical and Dental Colleges Fee Structure [Updated]

A quantum leap is in the fee structure of Bengaluru Minority Medical and Dental Colleges. The sudden change in the fee structure will make the students pay high for their seats. This new fee structure is effective only in the state of Karnataka and will be promulgated from the new academic session.

Bangalore Minority Medical, Dental Seats – Fee Structure Revised 

The hike in the fee structure is likely to increase by 27 to 41 percent. The Minority colleges in Karnataka said that they will allow 25 percent Medical and Dental seats to the Government Quota candidates and 55 percent seats will be filled by the NEET ranking. There is also an NRI quota available and they said that from 15 percent of seats, it increased to 20 percent this year.

Revised Fee Structure by Percentage

  • Government Quota Medical: In 2015-2016, academic session, the fee was Rs. 55,000 and in the 2016-2017 session it increased by 27 percentage, i.e. Rs. 70,000.
  • Medical Seats Under NEET: In 2015-2016, academic session, the fee was Rs. 4.25 lakh and in the 2016-2017 session it increased by 35.2 percentage, i.e. Rs. 5.75 lakh
  • Government Quota Dental: In 2015-2016, academic session, the fee was Rs. 35,000 and in the 2016-2017 session it increased by 28 percentage, i.e. Rs. 45,000
  • Dental Seats Under NEET: In 2015-2016, academic session, the fee was Rs. 25.75 lakh and in the 2016-2017 session it increased by 41 percentage, i.e. Rs. 3.95 lakh

A mutual agreement was registered between the Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges’ Association and the State government about the matter of the revised fee structure. This will be quite expensive for the students.

There are total three Medical Colleges which have 350 seats and in six Dental Colleges, there are total 300 seats. In the agreement, the three governing bodies have stated that around 88 Medical seats and 75 Dental seats will be added to the Government Quota.
