Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2020 – HIMACHAL PRADESH UNIVERSITY GYANPATH, on behalf of the government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of medical education & research is going to conduct Counselling for filling-up of State and Management/NRI Quota seats in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including private un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges of the State of Himachal Pradesh on the basis of qualified candidates of NEET-UG-2020. This Counseling will be conducted for 85% State Quota Seats which includes the reserved seats of Children of J& K Migrants, Children of Tibetan Refugees and NRI in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges and the seats in respect of Private Un-aided Medical/ Dental Colleges, the same shall be filled up as per distribution of seats given in the prospectus. The complete details of the counseling  is available on the prospectus which can be download from University Websites: www.hpuniv.nic.in, www.hpuniv.in & www.admissions.hpushimla.in and Directorate ofMedical Education & Research, H.P. website www.hp.gov.in/hpdmer or from here provided links. Candidates may download the complete copy of the text of the prospectus and may read it carefully. Thereafter, apply online within the prescribed date with successful transaction of fee and may obtain the print out of confirmation copy of ONLINE application form as per instructions mentioned in the prospectus. The print out of confirmation copy of online application form is required to be submitted along with requisite certificates/documents by the candidates in person on the day of counseling. 1. Schedule for filling-up online application form with
successful transaction of fee.
 Last week of July
2. Time for correction in errors, if any, committed by the
candidates while filling online application form.
First week of August
3. Date of displaying the category-wise provisional merit
list on the University website www.hpuniv.nic.in,
www.hpuniv.in & www.admissons.hpushimla.in of
qualified candidates who applied online with successful
transaction of fee within prescribed date and has
obtained the print out of confirmation copy of ONLINE
application form.
First week of August
4. Dates of 1st round of centralized counselling for
admission in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including
private Medical/Dental Colleges at H.P. University
Auditorium, Summer Hill, Shimla – 5 as per
Schedule given under Heading-VIII (Counselling
Schedule & Admission Procedure) of the
First week of August
5. Last date for joining the allotted college and course Second week of  August
6. Date of 2nd round of centralized counseling for filling
up of the vacant seats in Govt. Medical/Dental
Colleges including Private Medical/ Dental Colleges.
Third week of August
7. Last date for joining for the candidates allotted seats
in 2 round of counselling.

8. Mop up rounds of Centralized Counselling First week of September
9. Commencement of Academic session
10. Last date upto which students can be admitted
against vacancies arising due to any reason.
Second Week of September

Fee Details:

For General/NRI & Other Categories: Rs. 1600/-
For SC/ST Categories: Rs. 800/-
For IRDP/BPL : Rs. 800/-

The application fee shall not be refunded in any case. Failure to complete any of the step of online Application Form and payment of fee as per requirement of online process, final submission of online application will remain               incomplete and unsuccessful all modes of payment of fee. Merely deduction of fee does not means that the online application form has been submitted successfully. In the event of failure of fee and non-generated of confirmation copy of the online application form,the University shall, in no way be responsible.

Generation of confirmation copy confirms the correctness and final submission of application form. If confirmation copy has not been generated, this means that application has not submitted successfully which will lead to rejection.

Documents required for the Counselling

  • Admit Card of NEET 2020
  • NEET 2020 Result Card
  • Date of Birth Certificate (For Age Proof)
  • Community Certificate if applicable
  • 10th and 12th Mark Sheet
  • Domicile Certificate


The Management Quota Seats in Private un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges in the State of Himachal Pradesh, will be filled up from the qualified candidates of NEET- UG-2020 in order of merit drawn by the University for which there will be no Bonafide Himachali/Domicile and schooling conditions. Under this quota, both Himachali and Non-Himachali (Indian National) interested candidates can apply online for admission to MBBS/BDS courses through counselling subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification and age etc. as prescribed in the prospectus.
Note: Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed for State Quota Seats, will be considered only for Management Quota seats, if otherwise they are interested.

Procedure: How to Apply for Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2020

The desirous candidates including NRI who are qualified in NEET-UG-2020 and fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and other conditions of the prospectus may apply online only by using University website:www.hpuniv.nic.inorwww.admissions.hpushimla.in for seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses indifferent Medical/Dental Colleges located in the State of Himachal Pradesh. The candidates who will be found non-qualified in NEET-UG-2020, their application form shall be rejected without any notice.

The print out of the computer generated confirmation copy of the online application form duly complete in all respect along with self-attested photocopies of documents/certificates is required to be submitted in person by the candidates on the day of counseling. The original documents/ certificates shall also required to be produced by the candidates at the time of Counseling. Follow below steps for carefully while using a modern web browser like Firefox or chrome.

Steps to Follow:

  • Candidate must download the prospectus and replica of ONLINE application form to  read it carefully to satisfy his/her eligibility criteria and other requirements for submission of online application form.
  • Go to hpushimla.in and look for “Click Here >>>On-Line Admission for UG,PG and other Courses “ or just click here to go directly to required page.
  • Now look for “UnderGraduate(Online MBBS/BDS, B.Sc Post Basic Nursing, BAMS/BHMS)” Link and click on it.
  • Then click on MBBS/BDS and check popup which says I agree to all T&Cs.
  • A new page will load with Application Form. Kindly fill Personal information, educational and document details etc.
  • Make payment and finally Submit the application form.

Himachal Pradesh NEET 2020 Merit List:

The merit list of qualified candidates of NEET-UG-2020 conducted by the CBSE, Delhi will only be drawn by the University and candidates those will not found qualified in NEET-UG-2020, their application forms will be rejected without any notice and names of such candidates will not be figured in the merit list.     I am inntending to get admission in any private medical college of India. But I got 281 marks in neet’2016 & having all India rank 129959 and Category rank 50913. I belong to obc & domicile from w.b. What will be fees for complete course.Is it possible to get admission through bank loan.
