Karnataka 3rd round MBBS Counselling – Karnataka UG Medical MBBS/BDS counselling third round is expected after Sept 15 just after completion of All India quota counselling. After AIQ counselling finish of the remaining seat will be transferred to state quota.
Speaking to The Hindu in Kalaburagi on Sunday, Dr. Patil said, the third round of counselling of medical seats in the State is likely to see the addition of more medical seats, including 15 seats from the KLE Deemed University-run Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College.
Dr. Patil added that cases related to admission to medical courses filed by the Union Labour Ministry is pending in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court, and they are likely to come up for hearing this week. After the hearing of the cases, it will also become clear whether admissions in ESIC Medical Colleges in Bengaluru and Kalaburagi can be taken up or not.
The fate of the additional seats claimed by the State government as State quota from the two more Deemed Universities (NITTE and Yenopaya)-run medical colleges would be known after the final hearing of the appeals made by these two deemed universities challenging the claims of the State government.
If the court decides in our favour, the third round of medical seats would have more number of seats under the government quota”
Dr. Patil said the response from students for admissions in the three new government medical colleges at Kalaburagi, Gadag and Koppal has been overwhelming, and that all the seats have been taken.
