New Medical Colleges in India : There is a good news to every Medical student. A new proposal is granted to start 17 new Medical colleges in the country. The Medical Council of India (MCI) has granted permission to start the Medical colleges in the country. Below is the division of colleges each state will get.

In the proposal, Karnataka will get three Government institutes with 2150 total MBBS seats this academic year. Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh will be given 2 institutes each. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand will get one institute each.
In India, we have around 439 total Medical colleges with more than 59.288 MBBS seats. Among all the states of the country, Karnataka is considered as one of the highest ranked Medical hub with a large number of Medical colleges and MBBS seats. It has total 53 Medical colleges and has 7,355 total MBBS seats.
Every year after the declaration of the 10+2 result, we can a huge rush in the admission process among the students. Many entrance examinations are conducted by different government bodies and private Medical colleges. Based on the score secured in the entrance examination, candidates are shortlisted and get the admission in different Medical colleges in the country. But by the time the 17 new Medical colleges in the country will help the candidate to get admission in the respective colleges in the state.
