The External Affairs Ministry on 27th of July 2016 (Wednesday) said in a report that the Hindu migrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh who settled in India can directly get the admission into any Medical and BE courses in India.

Basically, the External Affairs Ministry is running a self-financing scheme for foreign nationals from any developing countries to get admission in India colleges. The courses offered to the foreign students include Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and also candidate take admission in various diploma courses in these disciplines from any college in India. This initiative will be effective from this academic year.

Students from Pakistan and Bangladesh who are now residing in India can apply for any Medical and BE courses in India. To apply for the courses, candidates have to appear in any central entrance examination like AIMPT or any other entrance examination conducted for admission. Candidates will be selected by the selection officers based on their merit and the score that they will secure in the entrance examination, rankings, etc.
Pakistan, Bangladesh Hindu Migrants Direct Entry to MBBS, BE Courses – Eligibility Criteria
The officials in a report said that candidates who want to pursue MBBS and BDS courses from Indian institutions have to secure 60% marks each in physics, chemistry and biology, and 50% marks in English, which is equivalent to 12th standard examination in India.
If a candidate wants to pursue BE course, he/she have to secure 60% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and also 50% marks in English BE course.

Pakistan, Bangladesh Hindu Migrants who wants to apply for this said course from Indian colleges can apply it by 19th August 2016. Candidates have to apply at the office of Under Secretary (Education), Ministry of External Affairs, Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi.
