There are 11 MBBS Government Colleges in Chhattisgarh and 3 private medical institutes. In 11 colleges, there are a total of 1430 Govt MBBS seats in the state. This includes one AIIMS institute, which is in Raipur. Among the total seats, there are some seats reserved for the All India quota and 3% Central quota. All these seats are filled via NEET-UG, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). If you plan to get admission to any of the following colleges, you must qualify for the entrance exam. The Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh, is the official authority to monitor medical education in the state. In the beginning, there was only 1 Medical College in the state. But now there are 14 Medical Colleges, 6 Dental Colleges, and more than 125 Nursing Colleges.
