Tamil Nadu has one MBBS/BDS guide for government-quota seats and another for management seats. Choose the correct prospectus first. The college name alone does not tell you which application, category or fee applies.
Government quota and management quota have different checks
The state route uses the Selection Committee. Read the guide for your pool. Check any minority, NRI or special-category rule. Read the current nativity and school rules. Not everyone needs the same proof.
Tamil Nadu also has a notified 7.5% government-school reservation route. Check the school rules and proof before you claim it. Going to school in the state alone does not prove this claim.
CMC Vellore needs a separate planning step
For CMC Vellore, read the college’s form and category rules. Also read the state instructions. A college form does not replace the required state form.

Research the Tamil Nadu campus before choices
Use the Tamil Nadu college list for the dated intake and campus checks. For CMC Vellore, write down which of its seat groups you can claim. For another Tamil Nadu private college, use that campus’s own fee row. Ask whether hostel and mess are required before comparing the two full-course bills.
For other campuses, compare the fee for the actual pool, hostel and hospital location. Check nativity and category records before choices, and read the undertaking before accepting. The reporting checklist helps you finish the allotted route.
Keep the round record with the college plan
Save the Tamil Nadu prospectus for the quota you claim. If the choice is CMC Vellore, also check the college application and category guide. The state application and any required college application are separate records.
