NTA will be conducting NEET UG 2024. As always, the NEET entrance exam will be conducted for students interested in pursuing UG medical courses (MBBS/BDS). NTA is approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to conduct this exam across India. NEET replaced AIPMT in 2016. NEET is held every year for admission to 645 medical, 318 dental, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc and AH colleges. The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online applications, conducting the entrance test, declaring the result, and providing rank to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Major Change in NEET 2024
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has allowed non-biology students to take NEET-UG.[Nov 22] Notice available at www.nmc.org.in
There are some changes in the NEET (UG) 2024 syllabus. Some topics not being taught on any school board or available in NCERT books have been removed. A few topics are included in the updated syllabus but are not given in the new NCERT Books.
NEET UG 2024 Application form
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be inviting you to fill out Online Applications for NEET (UG) 2024 for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions in India. A huge number of candidates appear in this examination every year. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test is not applicable for MBBS/BDS admission, but disciplines like BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses require this test result. MNS (Military Nursing Service) aspirants seeking admission to the BSc Nursing Course conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for 2024 must qualify for NEET. NEET scorecard is used in different medical sectors across India.
Update 9th February 2024:
The NEET Registration window is activated. Candidates can apply for NEET UG 2024 through the “Online” mode only on the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET

The Online Application Form submission may be made by accessing the NTA website neet.nta.nic.in. NTA does not accept any other mode of application form.
NEET UG 2024 Exam Pattern
NEET is a pen-and-paper-based Test. The Entrance Test shall consist of 200 multiple-choice questions. You will get 4 choices, and one will be the correct answer. You will get 50 questions from each subject, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
The examination will be 200 minutes, which is 20 minutes, more than 3 hours. NEET (UG)—2024 is expected to be held in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
NEET UG Exam Date
There is no official notification about the exam date. It will probably be held on the first Sunday of May i.e. 5 May 2024.
NEET UG 2024 Syllabus
There are some changes to the syllabus of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for this year. For the Academic year 2024-25, the UG Medical Education Board has finalized the NEET (UG) 2024 syllabus. The candidates are suggested to prepare for NEET as per the new syllabus. NEET Mock Test Papers 2024
NTA published both mock test papers and the previous year’s papers for candidates appearing in the 2024-25 session. Candidates must download the whole zip file from the NTA official website for mock test papers. But for previous years’ papers, you can filter out online and then download the paper you need.
