AIIMS Admission Process starts from NEET UG Registration, AIIMS MBBS admissions are through NEET UG and the MCC All-India Quota counselling – no separate AIIMS UG exam anymore. Admission process of AIIMS is similar to the most of Top MBBS Colleges in India. Steps are as follows:
- Appear for NEET UG.
- NEET Result published.
- MCC Registration for All India Quota (AIQ)—AIIMS seats are filled through MCC AIQ counselling.
- Choice Filling & Locking: List AIIMS campuses and other colleges in preferred order.
- Seat Allotment (Round 1): Check result; accept/freeze or upgrade. You can use our NEET College Predictor Round 1 tool to get rough estimate.
- Reporting/Document Verification at the allotted institute.
- Round 2 (and Mop-Up, Stray) follow with fresh vacancies and movement.
- Final Joining.
AIIMS Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Age: Minimum 17 years by 31 December 2026.
- Academic: Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
- Minimum Marks:
- General/EWS: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB.
- OBC/SC/ST: A minimum of 40% aggregate marks in PCB.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): A minimum of 45% for General-PwD and 40% for reserved-PwD candidates.
- Nationality: Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs.
- Category: GEN/OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST/PwD as per Government norms; Valid disability certificate from approved centres is required.
Reservation Policy for AIIMS:
The reservation policy of the Central Government is followed and the same is applied only on the seats contributed by AIIMS to MCC:

- S.T.- 7.5%
- O.B.C.- (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list- 27%
- EWS- as per Central Government norms- 10%

- Stray Vacancy Round: A final round to fill any remaining seats.
