Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) conducts the Uttarakhand MBBS counselling online at hnbumu.ac.in. Candidates who qualify NEET 2025 are eligible to participate in the Uttarakhand NEET 2025 counselling. To join the counselling process, students must register on the official website. If you’re planning to pursue MBBS or BDS in Uttarakhand for the 2025–26 academic session, this guide will help you understand the state centralised counselling process, eligibility, registration, fees, and college details. HNBUMU is responsible for counselling 85% of state quota seats and 100% of seats in private medical colleges. Please note that no additional entrance exam is required for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. All important details will be provided and updated here regularly.

Uttarakhand MBBS Admission 2025

If you’re aiming for MBBS admission in Uttarakhand, participating in the Uttarakhand NEET UG 2025 counselling is mandatory. Conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), this counselling process covers 85% of state quota seats and 100% of seats in private medical and dental colleges across Uttarakhand.

Candidates who qualify the NEET UG 2025 exam, conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), are eligible to apply for Uttarakhand MBBS/BDS counselling. NEET is the only entrance exam accepted for admission—no other exam is required.

Eligibility Criteria

• • Have qualified NEET UG 2025.
  • Are an Indian citizen.
  • Fulfill the academic eligibility:
    • 50% marks in PCB for UR/EWS,
    • 40% for SC/ST/OBC,
    • 45% for PwD candidates.

Domicile Conditions

You are eligible for state quota seats if:

• You’re a domicile/permanent resident of Uttarakhand, or
• You completed both 10th and 12th from a recognized school in Uttarakhand.

Note: Candidates not meeting domicile conditions can apply only for All India Quota and won’t get reservation benefits.

Reservation Policy (State Quota Only)

• Reservation is applicable only to Uttarakhand domicile candidates.

Uttarakhand MBBS Counselling 2025

After the NEET results, counselling will be conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) for 85% of state quota seats. A huge number of candidates take part in this counselling process every year. Counselling will be conducted on the official website of HNBUMU.
This counselling will be for all the Government Medical colleges and private Medical/Dental colleges affiliated to the University. It will be based on the NEET UG 2025 scorecard/rank card. The applicants must fill out the application form to register him/her and pay the required registration fee (non-refundable).

The Uttarakhand NEET UG counselling includes admissions for the following:

• MBBS in Government Medical Colleges – State Quota
• MBBS in Private Medical Colleges – State Quota & All India Quota
• BDS in Private Dental Colleges – State Quota & All India Quota

Here’s a quick overview of the process:

1. Online Registration: Fill out the application form and pay the non-refundable counselling fee.

2. Choice Filling: Select your preferred colleges and courses.

3. Seat Allotment: Based on your NEET 2025 rank and preferences.

4. Reporting to College: Download allotment letter and report to the assigned college for document verification.

UK MBBS Admission Procedure

Once you lock your choices, the official counselling authority will take a few days to process the data and prepare the seat allotment list. After that, the first round of counselling results will be published online, listing the candidates who have been allotted seats.

If you don’t get a seat in the first round or are not allotted the college you were hoping for – don’t worry! You still have a chance in the second round of counselling.

Last year, the state also conducted a Special Stray Vacancy Round in November to fill remaining seats. So, multiple opportunities will be available throughout the counselling process.

After you lock your choices, official authority will take a couple of days to process the data. Then release a list of candidates selected in 1st round of counselling. Candidates who did not get selected or didn’t get into the college they were hoping for don’t worry there will be another round. You might get it in 2nd round of counselling. Last year there was a Special Stray Vacancy Round later in November. When selected in the counselling process, you must report to the counselling board with all the documents mentioned below along with the DD or Advance Tuition Fee.

• Intermediate Certificate
• NEET UG 2025 Admit Card (provided by NTA)
• NEET UG Result/Rank card (issued by NTA)
• Certificate of Reserve Category (if applicable). Must be issued by Uttarakhand authority only.
• Certificate of Sub Category (if applicable).
• PWD certificate (if applicable)
• If you are a candidate from Uttarakhand, you must provide the Domicile Certificate.
• Valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card/Passport/DL preferred) Please check the official website for other acceptable ID proofs.
• You may also need some other documents, so don’t hesitate to contact the college before going.
• Payment of the remaining fee is required on the same day.
