All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi invites online applications for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic), B.Sc. Paramedical Courses, M.Sc. Nursing, M. Biotechnology, and M.Sc. Courses. A total of 17 AIIMS across India participate in this admission process. While many institutes admit students based on 12th marks, AIIMS does not. To secure a seat in these institutes, you must clear the entrance exam.

AIIMS Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as on 31st December 2026.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing – Only female candidates can apply. Must have passed 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
    • Marks required: 55% (General/OBC/EWS), 50% (SC/ST).
  • B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) – Must have passed 12th, have a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM), and be a Registered Nurse (RN/RM).
  • B.Sc. Paramedical Courses – 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. Marks required: 50% (General/OBC/EWS), 45% (SC/ST).

AIIMS Nursing 2026 Application Process

The AIIMS Nursing entrance exam application process includes registration at two levels. Firstly candidates need to fill up form which is called initial registration (Fill in basic details and upload photos/signatures). That’s basic registration is done, and if the application gets accepted, then the candidate can proceed with the final registration.

Step 1: Basic Registration (PAAR): Fill in basic details and upload photos/signatures.
Step 2: Generation of Code: Only for candidates whose basic registration is accepted.
Step 3: Final Registration: Fee payment and exam city choice.

Application Fees: ₹2000 (General/OBC-NCL), ₹1600 (SC/ST/EWS) and Free for PwBD candidates.

AIIMS Nursing Expected Cut-off

Cut-off varies each year based on difficulty, number of applicants, and seat availability.

Looking at previous years:

  • General/EWS Category: ~50 percentile (around 70–75 marks out of 100).
  • OBC (NCL): ~45 percentile (around 60–65 marks).
  • SC/ST: ~40 percentile (around 50–55 marks).
