Uttarakhand MBBS counselling needs a check of both the seat pool and its fee row. HNBUMU publishes the state process. AIIMS Rishikesh and notified All India seats follow MCC’s route instead.
Read domicile and private-pool conditions separately
For a state-quota claim, check the current residence and education conditions. For a private seat, read the eligibility for the pool named in the prospectus. A state-quota rule does not automatically describe every management seat.
A private college can publish different tuition for permanent residents and other candidates. Use the row you qualify for, and keep the proof that supports it with your fee sheet.
Check the seat pool and your proof
Open the current prospectus from HNBUMU’s official website. Match your school, residence and category records with the clause for the pool you want. Do not assume one residence rule covers every government and private seat.
Use the MCC counselling guide for a national seat. An NTA exam application does not register you for either route.
Start from the university’s official page
Open the counselling link from HNBUMU’s site, then check the year and round before entering details. The main website and portal may show different steps in that route.
For a new notice, compare the registration, choice and reporting stages separately. A change to one window may leave the other deadlines in place.

Listed MBBS intake for 2026–27
NMC’s dated list has 675 government and 900 private MBBS places in Uttarakhand: 1,575 in total, excluding Institutes of National Importance such as AIIMS Rishikesh. These are intake figures, not the number you can choose in a single round.

Why the fee pool matters
HIMS’s 2026–27 fee notice shows annual tuition of ₹18 lakh for its Uttarakhand permanent-resident pool and ₹24 lakh for other candidates. Use only the row you qualify for. This named example is not a fee rule for all state colleges.
Tuition is only one part of the bill. Add every study period, the joining charges, hostel, food and travel. Show refundable deposits separately. Use the seat and cost comparison to set out two choices clearly.
Research the Uttarakhand campus before choices
Use the Uttarakhand college list for the dated intake and campus checks. For a Srinagar or Haldwani choice, ask how to reach the reporting desk from the bus or rail stop. For HIMS, confirm the fee pool first. Keep the travel estimate below the tuition row so neither hides the other.
Plan travel to the allotted city before the reporting window ends. Add housing and food to the course budget. Get the eligibility documents ready, read the bond form, and complete the joining record at the required campus.
Check the campus and terms
Ask where clinical teaching takes place and how students reach the hospital. Check the hostel setup and the help available to students. Use the Uttarakhand college guide as a starting point, then confirm the campus in the current matrix.
Read the current bond or exit form for that seat. Ask what service it requires, what can trigger payment and who must sign. The MBBS bond checklist helps you keep these questions separate from normal tuition.
Make your admission folder
- NEET admit card and scorecard
- School records and identity proof
- Residence and category evidence required for your pool
- Counselling application, submitted choices and allotment
- Official fee receipts and joining record
Follow the full list in the prospectus and the counselling document guide. When a seat is allotted, use the seat reporting checklist to track the last steps. A name in a state merit list does not by itself show that admission is complete.
Uttarakhand NEET merit list: how to read it
A state merit list shows your rank in HNBUMU counselling. It is not a seat allotment, and it does not prove that anyone joined a college.
A merit list records candidates in the stated process. It is different from an allotment result and the college’s joining record. A row describing a government or private pool does not by itself prove that the candidate joined a college.
Use the full official list to check a rank. A partial table copied into an article may miss rows or show an older version. If you cannot find the original record, ask the authority for it before using the entry as proof.
How to check a merit list
- Find the full document title, year and round.
- Check whether it is provisional or final.
- Match the candidate reference in the original record.
- Keep merit, allotment and joining records separate.
- Look for a later correction to the same list.
Disability (PwBD) seats: for All India Quota seats through MCC, your disability certificate must come from one of MCC’s designated centres. See our list of NEET PwBD certificate centres. For state quota seats, follow the certificate rule in the state’s own notice.
Keep the round record with the college plan
For HNBUMU choices, keep the permanent-resident or other-candidate fee pool beside the campus. The cost comparison helps you see the full course bill. Use MCC’s own application for AIIMS Rishikesh or another national seat.
