Only few centres are approved that can issue Disability Certification. If you’re applying for NEET-UG/PG counselling under the PwD quota, you must get your certificate from an approved government medical institute.
Why this matters
- Seats are reserved for eligible candidates with benchmark disabilities. The certificate is the proof authorities will check during counselling.
- Certificates must be issued by designated centres only. A letter from a non-approved hospital often gets rejected.
- Some centres certify all disabilities, while others handle only specific categories like Locomotor or Speech & Hearing.

- NEET aspirants (UG/PG) who want to claim PwD reservation.
- Students who already have a disability certificate but need re-assessment/verification in the prescribed medical format for counselling.
Documents Required When you are visiting Centre?
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Government ID (Aadhaar, etc.)
- Medical records and previous disability certificates (if any)
- NEET application details (Admit card – helps with record matching)
- Any assistive devices you normally use (spectacles, hearing aids, LVAs, prosthesis) for accurate assessment
