NMC’s 2026–27 list has two MBBS colleges in Sikkim. It lists 100 places at each: one government college and one private college. These intake numbers do not tell you how many seats are open in a round. Different seats use DTE, HLSGMC or SMIMS admission routes. Find the route for your seat pool
Check the authority named for the seat you want. A college’s total intake can include pools with different entry proof and fee rules. Do not assume every seat at both colleges is filled through the same process.

Compare fees and campus life
Ask for the fee schedule for your pool. Add the cost of all tuition periods, housing, food and travel. Keep deposits in a separate row. Use the seat and cost comparison to compare the two colleges on the same basis.
Check where clinical teaching takes place, how students reach the hospital and which hostel rules apply. Read any service or exit form with the MBBS bond checklist before ranking a seat as a backup.
After an allotment
