Bihar MBBS Counselling 2026: Dates, Registration & Allotment

Bihar’s state MBBS and BDS admission route is called UGMAC. Use BCECEB’s UGMAC notice board for registration, choices and verification. Qualifying NEET does not complete the Bihar application.

Bihar NEET UG 2026 update (22 October): BCECEB has started the UGMAC stray vacancy round for MBBS and BDS seats. Registration closed on 21 October. Choice filling and locking end at 11:59 PM on 22 October. The seat allotment result is due on 24 October. If you get a seat, download your allotment order and finish document checks and admission on 25 or 26 October. Students who already joined an MBBS or BDS seat in Rounds 1 to 3 cannot take part.

Use the BCECE Board UGMAC page for the state process. Use the MCC counselling guide for a seat handled nationally. Do not mix deadlines from the two routes.

Find UGMAC, not an AYUSH or PG notice

BCECEB runs several admission routes. UGMAC covers the medical and dental route discussed here. UGMAC AYUSH is for other courses. PG notices also cover a different route. They can appear on the same site.

Check the prospectus for the residence, category and school proof needed for your seat. Save your submitted UGMAC form and payment record. If a correction window is offered, use it within the stated time.

Read a corrigendum with the original notice

A corrigendum is a notice that corrects an earlier one. BCECEB lists Round 3 notices dated 30 September 2026 and corrections dated 2 and 3 October. Use the corrected instructions for the stage they cover.

The same board also posts notices for old deposit refunds. Read the admission year inside a refund notice before applying its steps to your payment.

Bihar MBBS seats in 2026–27

NMC’s MBBS list dated 18 September 2026 shows 1,810 government and 2,900 private MBBS places in Bihar: 4,710 in total. The count leaves out institutes of national importance such as AIIMS Patna. Research the Bihar campus before choices

Use the Bihar college list for the dated intake and campus checks. For a Patna shortlist, keep PMCH and Nalanda on separate lines. Check each teaching-hospital and hostel address. For a private option elsewhere in Bihar, ask for the same records before deciding that a lower travel cost makes it the better seat.

Prepare the residence and category records required by your UGMAC claim with the document guide. Keep the corrected notice used for choices. The joining checklist helps you separate an allotment letter, fee payment and proof that you have joined.

Shortlist with cost and campus in mind

Ask for the fee schedule that applies to your quota. Add each tuition period, hostel, food, other required fees and travel. Keep refundable deposits separate. A first-year figure alone cannot show the full bill.

Use the seat and cost comparison to put two seats on the same sheet. Read the MBBS bond checklist for service and exit terms. Ask where clinical teaching takes place and how students travel between the hostel and hospital.

From the shortlist to joining

• Check the current matrix and whether your status lets you enter the round.
• Place acceptable seats in the order you would prefer to join them.
• Save the submitted choices and allotment record.
• Follow the document, payment and reporting deadlines for that route.
• Keep the college’s joining record and receipts.

Disability (PwBD) seats: for All India Quota seats through MCC, your disability certificate must come from one of MCC’s designated centres. See our list of NEET PwBD certificate centres. For state quota seats, follow the certificate rule in the state’s own notice.

Keep the round record with the college plan

For UGMAC, retain the corrected round notice and submitted form. Do not use a refund notice for an older admission cycle as proof that this year’s deposit is due back.
