State private seats and Santosh use different checks

Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad appears in NMC’s private list and MCC’s 2026 Round 1 deemed matrix, code 200408. Its notified deemed choices use MCC. A private label and a Uttar Pradesh address do not automatically put a seat under the UP state portal.

Use the UP counselling guide for the state route and the deemed guide for Santosh and other notified entries. Keep any residence rule attached to the exact pool; do not apply a government state-quota condition to every private choice without checking.

UP’s round instructions can include a security payment and a nodal-centre check. The nodal centre may be different from the college you will join. Confirm the named location before booking travel, and prepare the school and category papers it requests.

Questions for your Uttar Pradesh shortlist

For a Ghaziabad shortlist, keep Santosh’s MCC seat separate from UP state choices. For each private campus, ask which hostel and food charges are required. Compare the joining payment as well as later tuition before ranking the city.
