Here is the updated list of medical colleges in Telangana and the total MBBS seats for 2025-26. The Directorate of Medical Education, Telangana, is responsible for the smooth functioning of MBBS colleges in the state—not just medical colleges, but also teaching hospitals, nursing schools, and nursing colleges in Telangana.

Telangana has about 8,490 MBBS seats, including government, trust, society-run, and private colleges. It is among the states with the highest number of medical seats. Every year, many candidates from Telangana appear for NEET. The NEET 2026 application form will be published soon.

List of Medical Colleges in Telangana – Total MBBS Seats

In the state, there are 1,450 seats in society-managed colleges, about 3,000 seats in colleges run by various trusts, and 3,890 seats in government medical colleges in Telangana. Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences & Research Center is the only fully private college with an intake capacity of 150 students.
