GQ, MQ and NQ need separate fee and proof checks
Gujarat’s admission committee uses GQ for government quota, MQ for management quota and NQ for NRI quota. Those labels belong beside the campus name on your fee sheet. A GMERS or private-college name alone cannot tell you which row to use.
The committee’s general government and management rules link eligibility to Class 10 and 12 schooling in Gujarat and Gujarat birth or domicile. It also lists special cases and their evidence. Read the clause for your situation rather than assuming one domicile certificate replaces all school records. Use Gujarat’s official UG admission page for the rules and documents.
Local-quota claims can require additional evidence. The committee has separate local-quota certificate instructions for municipal institutions, including Surat. Check that instruction only when the seat row includes such a claim. Keep the record with your other category papers.
After allotment, the committee may name a help centre as well as a tuition-payment step. Check both before travelling to the college. Use the matrix guide for the seat labels and the reporting checklist to save the payment and confirmation records.
Questions for your Gujarat shortlist
For a GMERS choice, copy the quota label from the actual seat row. Ask for the fee tied to that row. For a Surat local-quota claim, check the separate proof form before you put that seat in your shortlist.
