AIIMS MBBS seats are allotted through MCC counselling using NEET UG. After the exam, you still need to follow the MCC process and the chosen campus’s joining notice. A qualifying score does not guarantee an AIIMS seat.
Start with the campus and seat row
Use MCC’s current matrix to find the campus, course, quota and category. Do not use one AIIMS campus’s intake or fee bill for every other campus. The seat-matrix guide shows how to read the labels together.

A checked campus example: AIIMS Gorakhpur
AIIMS Gorakhpur’s August 2026 MBBS admission notice lists 125 Indian-candidate seats. It gives an admission fee total of ₹5,293. This is the stated admission bill, not an annual tuition quote for all AIIMS campuses.
The notice’s school-mark rule uses Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English together: 60% for General/OBC, 50% for SC/ST and 45% for PwBD. Check the rule for your campus and category as well as the NEET condition.

Use past ranks carefully
Compare ranks for the same campus, category and round. A previous closing rank records what happened in that cycle. It is not a promised cutoff for the next allotment.
Place seats you would accept in your real preference order. Do not move a campus above one you prefer only because a rank table makes it look easier. Check fees, housing and travel before finalising the list.
Prepare for the allotted campus
- Save the MCC allotment letter and willingness record.
- Check the campus notice for documents, fees and reporting.
- Keep NEET records, school certificates and identity proof ready.
- Bring the category or disability proof required for your seat.
- Save the payment receipt and the record that confirms joining.
Use the counselling document guide before the window opens. After allotment, follow the seat reporting checklist. MCC’s current round rules decide the reporting route; a general campus checklist does not replace them.
Ask about the cost beyond admission
Get the hostel and mess terms for the campus you will join. Check the period covered by each fee and which deposits may be returned. Read any undertaking or exit form before signing. The MBBS bond checklist helps you ask about those terms in plain language.
