Candidates seeking admission to first-year UG medical programmes (MBBS and BDS) must attend Bihar MBBS Counselling. All who scored above the cutoff in NEET 2024 are eligible to apply. Bihar’s Central Examination Board (BCECE) conducts Bihar NEET Counselling. Bihar NEET counselling is also called Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC). Every year, at least 2 rounds of counselling are conducted online. A mop-up round and a stray vacancy round for vacant seats, if any, are conducted offline most of the time.

The Bihar NEET Counselling (UGMAC) details will be published online at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, including form correction, release of merit list/ rank card, choice filling, seat allotment result, etc. There are 13 Government and 8 private MBBS colleges in Bihar. They offer 1615 MBBS Government Seats and 1150 Private seats.

Bihar MBBS Counselling 2024 will also have a mop-up round and some cases a stray vacancy round as well in case there are some seats remain empty.
Bihar state MBBS counselling (also called UGMAC) is conducted for admission to the 85% state quota seats in government and 100% seats in private colleges.
Bihar NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2024
To be eligible for UGMAC NEET counselling, a candidate must meet the eligibility criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen (domicile of Bihar) and not be less than 17 years of age as of Dec 31, 2024.
- The candidate must have qualified NEET 2024.
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% (40% in the case of reserved category students).
- The candidate must have passed 11 standard and intermediate from an institute located in Bihar.
- Candidates who have studied classes 11 and 12 from other states but his/ her parents are domiciles in Bihar are also eligible.

Bihar UGMAC 2024: Documents Required
- NEET UG 2024 Admit Card
- NEET UG 2024 score Card
- Passing Certificate / Mark sheet / Admit Card of 10th and 10+2 / equivalent exam.
- Domicile Certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Passport-size photo.
- Print of Online filled Application Form (Part A & Part B) of UGMAC-2024.
- Aadhar Card
- Transfer and migration certificate

- The institute can request any other document.
Application Fee: Fees for UR/ EWS/ BC/ EBC Candidates Rs. 1200, For SC/ ST/ DQ Candidates Rs. 600 (Government college/ full fees for private colleges).
After downloading the rank card. Candidates must do online Registration-cum-choice filling for online counselling For online choice filling. All eligible candidates must click the link “Online Counselling Portal of UGMAC-2024”.
After successful online registration for online counselling candidates will log in to their account using their user ID & Password and fill in choices of courses and colleges in order of preference. After choices are filled in and locked. Candidates may modify their choices by clicking the “Unlock Choices” button.
During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of their submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted, their choice will be automatically locked on notified date & time. However, candidates will be allowed to take a print of their choices after locking.
