List of Medical Colleges in West Bengal – 85% State Quota Seats

WB has about 40 Medical colleges, including government, private, and centrally funded. The annual intake of these Medical colleges in West Bengal varies from 100 to 250. If you appear in NEET, this list will be useful for you during counselling. All the seats will be filled via the NEET exam, followed by counselling. Usually, seats are filled with all India and state quota counselling, but sometimes, there is a round of management counselling for a few seats.

West Bengal has 1 AIIMS, located in Kalyani, which is affiliated to AIIMS New Delhi and offers 125 MBBS seats. The state has a total of around 4,050 Government MBBS seats and approximately 1,850 Private MBBS seats, across 40 medical colleges. If you are domiciled in the State of West Bengal, you have a good chance of securing a seat through the 85% State Quota in Government colleges. However, non-domicile candidates are only eligible for Management Quota seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges.
