WBMCC’s three private pools need separate checks

WBMCC handles the notified government state seats and the state, management and NRI pools at private medical colleges. Those names do not describe one shared fee or residence rule. Keep your chosen pool beside each campus in the table.

Use the West Bengal counselling guide and WBMCC’s medical and dental page for the current rules. The authority also has separate PG and AYUSH pages; an upload date from those routes is not automatically a task for an MBBS applicant.

For a Kolkata campus and a district college, compare where students live and receive clinical teaching. Ask for the tuition schedule for the stated pool, the first payment deadline and any compulsory hostel charge. Put both on the comparison sheet before choosing by location alone.

Collect the proof for the WBMCC claim and read the service or exit form. An old 2025 pause notice is historical, not the status of the 2026 round. After a current allotment, follow the joining checklist with the college’s own notice.

Questions for your West Bengal shortlist

For a Kolkata-area choice, check the campus name on the fee notice and the allotted quota. For a district college, ask the same questions about hostel and hospital travel. A city preference should come after the seat passes your proof and cost checks.
