Choose the KEA seat code or the MCC campus
Karnataka offers a large choice of government and private campuses. Narrow the list by the seat code first. KEA’s government, private, minority and NRI-related categories do not all have the same entry proof or tuition. A fee quoted for a different code can give you the wrong budget.
Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and Kasturba Medical College, Manipal are separate MCC entries. Their 2026 Round 1 codes are 200339 and 200340. Keep the two campuses on separate lines, even if you are comparing the same university group. Use the KEA counselling guide for the state route and the deemed list for MCC choices.
Before entering KEA options, find the entry clause that fits your school and residence history. Check that the documents already verified in your application support the category you want. Start with proof for your seat pool rather than copying a lower fee from another applicant.
For Bengaluru, Manipal or Mangalore, price the hostel and hospital commute for that campus. Use the full-cost comparison to add each fee period. Once a seat is allotted, follow the joining checklist and the route’s current acceptance rules.
Questions for your Karnataka shortlist
For KMC, check the city on the choice screen before saving it. Ask each campus where first-year students stay and how they reach class. Keep its fee sheet with that campus code, so the two KMC bills do not get mixed.
